When it comes to creating services within your organisation, it’s important to get the engagement of people with disability. Prioritising stakeholder engagement can help in upholding person-centred support—you can get input from participants on the method as well as the quality of support that they receive.

Take note that getting feedback from people with disability is not the same as getting active engagement from them. Feedback can only evaluate the performance of a service whereas active engagement can offer people with disabilities the opportunity to contribute to a service’s development, design, delivery, implementation, and performance assessment.

Stakeholder engagement can improve the services offered by your organisation. This can then lead to better relationships for people with disabilities and a better community that supports them.
