On 26 June 2026, the Australian Government announced both new and returning appointments for the NDIA Board. This is to ensure people with disabilities, as well as their families, continue to receive care and service.

Re-appointed current members are given an additional 3-year term and includes Dr Richard Fejo, Ms Estelle Pearson, and Dr Graeme Innes AM. New members appointed are Ms Jane Spring, Ms Lois Boswell, and Mr Nigel Ray PSM.

The NDIA Board is responsible for overseeing the performance, governance, and strategic direction of the NDIS. Hon Mark Butler, the Minister for Health and Ageing, Disability and the National Disability Insurance Scheme, believes the appointments to the NDIA Board can help in supporting the NDIS scheme towards the future.
