CareVision has teamed up with renowned clinical pharmacist Keryn Coghill (B.Pharm.M.P.S.Grad.Dip. Clinical Pharm. A.A.C.P.) Medimetrix director to build a new clinical capability (integrated into CareVision) for Care Providers of Home Care, NDIS & Residential Aged Care.
Irene Ryan CEO of CareVision has announced the plan to fast track a state-of-the-art clinical pharmacy capability with Keryn Coghill to particularly address the problems with medication management in home care and disability.
Keryn is a highly respected accredited clinical pharmacist with a career spanning 40 years including work in hospital pharmacy, and community pharmacy (owner/manager), with expanded roles in institutional care, including aged, community, and correctional care. Keryn developed Rx-Right– the first electronic medication point of administration system in Australia that was sold into iCare Health in 2006. She is also the founder and developer of the Mederev Platform.
Keryn Coghill emphasises that the partnership targets the problem of only 50% adherence to prescribed medication in homes, and there is a clear necessity for intervention to improve the health of our aging and disabled loved ones.
