The Australian Government has officially confirmed that the new Aged Care Act and Support at Home program will launch on 1 November 2025, with no further delays. “We will not be delaying the implementation of the Act again or the introduction of Support at Home,” Aged Care and Seniors Minister Sam Rae said in a recent interview with ABC Melbourne.
The updated timeline has been welcomed by sector leaders, including Ageing Australia, who say the extension from the original 1 July date gives providers critical time to finalise system upgrades, review service agreements, and prepare their operations without compromising care quality.

For small Home Care and NDIS providers, this transition period presents an opportunity to get ahead—not just by meeting compliance requirements, but by building smarter, more sustainable workflows. BOUNCE, CareVision’s care management platform, was designed with these reforms in mind. It supports co-contribution changes, simplifies compliance, and integrates scheduling, reporting, and client communication in one intuitive solution.
