The National Disability Insurance Scheme has a new CEO. On 11 November 2025, the NDIA Board appointed Mr Graeme Head AO for a 3-year term. Mr Head is replacing Deputy CEO Scott McNaughton, who has been acting CEO since July 2025, as former CEO Rebecca Falkingham took personal leave due to illness.

Mr Graeme Head AO has extensive experience in public policy. He was a Public Services Commissioner and a Secretary of the Department of Customer Service in NSW. What’s more, he was the inaugural NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commissioner from 2018 to 2021.

Starting 24 November 2025, Mr Head will oversee the daily operations of the NDIA. As CEO, he will also administer the NDIS and ensure that the scheme continues to work for Australians with disabilities, as well as their families.
