Older Australians are moving quickly to secure home care support ahead of the upcoming Support at Home reforms, with all 20,000 newly released Home Care Packages now fully allocated.
The Federal Government brought forward the rollout—originally planned for November—to address a waiting list of more than 200,000 older Australians seeking help to live independently at home. Minister for Aged Care and Seniors Sam Rae said the packages are already helping thousands “live at home for longer with dignity and joy.”
The early release comes as the sector prepares for sweeping changes from 1 November, which will reshape funding, introduce new payment structures, and expand access to in-home services. As aged care providers prepare to deliver more tailored home support, CareVision continues to help organisations adapt with ease. Its integrated care management platform simplifies scheduling, billing, and compliance—empowering teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care under the new reforms.
