The inaugural Regional and Remote Summit 2026 will bring together aged care providers, government representatives, clinicians, researchers and community leaders to explore the future of care across regional, rural and remote Australia.
Taking place on 1 September 2026 at the Novotel Darwin CBD, the one-day event is delivered in partnership with Palliative Care NT and will focus on advancing equitable, high-quality care for older Australians, regardless of where they live.
With the theme of People, Purpose and Progress, the summit will examine the unique challenges and opportunities facing aged care services outside metropolitan areas. Sessions will cover workforce, culturally safe care, service delivery and community partnerships, supported by practical case studies and expert insights.
The event provides an opportunity for care leaders and innovators to connect, share ideas and explore practical strategies for strengthening services, improving outcomes and building sustainable aged care across the Northern Territory and beyond.
